Going through a separation or divorce can be an extremely sensitive time, filled with uncertainty and skepticism.  While you may not be able to change your circumstances, you can alter how they impact you and your relationships. Apart, Not Broken: Learn, Connect, & Create can help you re-establish yourself and feel empowered in your parenting.

I believe that ALL parents can benefit from getting new information, fresh ideas, and resources that support their parenting.  My commitment is that parents in this program get what they need to take care of themselves, have fulfilling relationships, and foster the growth and development of their children.

Professionally, I have been working with families and teens for over 20 years and have two teenage children of my own. I  believe that parenting brings to life an ever-changing spectrum of human emotion filled with moments of love, excitement, anticipation, expectations, fears, hopes, and dreams.

I invite you to embrace this journey, invest in yourself, and be a contribution to your children and other fathers by participating in this program.

  1. Dear Shelly,
I cannot tell you how delighted I was to come across your Apart, Not Broken: Learn, Connect, & Create! programme! This is because I too have been developing a programme along similar lines for separated dads and trying it out with volunteers. I am very happy to find that someone else is doing the same kind of work in this area where dads are so in need of support. I am currently in the process of developing new marketing materials for my programme for it’s official launch.
I would love to connect with you further. In the meantime, I am going to sign up as a participant on your programme- as a separated dad myself, it will be very refreshing to get some support for my parenting journey and I am sure that being a participant on your programme will deepen my awareness of the whole process.

I would be delighted to hear from you.

    Very best wishes,
    Layne

  2. Hi, Shelly, I am a coach and advocate for men who want to become better fathers. Through my experience I have found, sadly, that fathers find the help they need too late to also save their marriages. I often have to refer men to services like yours when they are in this stage. I would love a conversation with you to help me understand your approach and overall philosophy, and , perhaps, I could be of service to your clients. I have worked exclusively with men for over 20 years and understand the obstacles unique to them. Looking forward, Claude Soffel.
